I am always either on a diet, starting a diet, or thinking about starting a diet. I have 5 children the oldest is 18 and the youngest is a year. Yes the youngest will be pushing my wheel chair into the retirement home on her 18th birthday which by the way will be the same day as our 28th anniversary.
I had Gestational diabetes with the last two babies, my mother has type 2 diabetes. With my being overweight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol I am a PRIME for getting diabetes. I am a pre diabetic right now which has earned me a few trips to a nutritionist, and a diabetes nurse.
I think it is time to regain my "Thinner" body and my health. I did not gain all this weight overnight so its going to take more then a few nights to lose it. I would LOVE to have a gastric bypass and cheat,. My doctor said wait 6 weeks and we will talk about it again since that surgery brings in its own sets of issues. So for now I am going to portion control and have a few diet shakes with some added proteins added for energy. Which by the way I don't have much of.
So if you would like to follow my journey you are more then welcome to. I promise to be honest, funny (when I can be). If I get up the nerve I plan on posting a weekly picture of my progress.
My weight as of an hour ago was a BRUTAL 213.6. I have NEVER been this weight in my life and it scares me. Its scary to think I have let myself go. I am only 5'3 3/4, I am 5'4 with shoes on and yes that does count LOL.
So with this all said and done, my diet will start on Monday!
